Course Description:

❖ Asset Management has taken off on a global scale in recent years. This is because of the release of the Standards ISO 55000, 55001 and 55002, and the documents presented by different organizations, such as the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), Global Forum on Maintenance & Asset Management (GFMAM) and Asset Leadership Network (ALN). These were the result of efforts made during more than two decades in sectors such as the oil Industry, public services and transportation.

❖ Asset management needs to be synergistic, systematic, holistic and with risk-based decision-making. This is so the objectives can be obtained in an optimal and sustainable way. In summary, organization requires to focus efforts, based on an adequate asset management, for the delivery of the value expected from the company stakeholders. Because of this, the application of the model will require that the people handle concepts such as Asset Management System, Life Cycle Costing, Asset Management Policy and Strategy, Business Processes for Asset Management, management indicators and continuous improvement, in an assertive communication environment.

❖ In this course we will review all the asset management concepts, the elements of an asset management system defined in the ISO 55001, and we will make focus, without disregard of the other topics, on the next pillars: risk management, process management, change management, document management and the alignment between them, all based on the asset management principles, Value, Alignment, Leadership and Assurance.
